What is Myotherapy?
Myotherapy is the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain or dysfunction. It is a form of physical therapy that can benefit those experiencing acute or chronic pain OR as a form of maintenance for the sporting population. Myotherapy will not only address the site of the pain but also treat the causes, be it bio-mechanical, postural or stress related.

What to expect from your initial consult:
The session will begin with the Myotherapist asking a few questions regarding your pain, followed by some physical and range of movement testing. Finally, a treatment plan will be formulated. Allow 40 to 50 minutes, depending on the affected area. Try to wear loose clothing, so the area that is being assessed and treated is easily accessible. The session will be concluded with re-testing, and exercises may be prescribed if necessary.
